Week 4: Plus Size Bloggers Tracking Challenge: 4 Weeks To A Better YOU

WOW! What a crazy 4 weeks!  But I made it here.  I didn’t lose 10 pounds as planned, but I still did great with all the obstacles I ran into!   I am at the lightest right now that I have been since my weight gain when I was pregnant with my daughter 7 years ago!

2/28/11 187.0 lbs -4.1lbs (-4.6 for the challenge)

I almost made it half way there!   That’s with 1 week of NO physical activity and 1 week of minimal physical activity!   This past week I started back at the club on Tuesday.   I walked on the treadmill at a 2.8-3.0 pace for about 40 minutes.  I did some machines for my arms and shoulders.  I did the same on Wednesday.  Thursday I rode 10 miles on the recumbent bike.  Friday, I was feeling pretty good so I got back to my kettlebell class.  I had to drop from a 20 to an 18 pound bell.

So even though I didn’t work out 1/2 as much as usual, I still had a great loss!  What was the key??  My meal plan of course.  My trainer made up a plan for me.  I stuck to it about 90%.  Yes, I had a few sneaks and cheats.  I’m working on it.  Each day gets a little better.  I check in tonight with her after my kettlebell class.  I do think some things need to be adjusted.  Sometimes, it seems like too much food…especially lunch. I fill up a lot faster now.    I can’t wait to show my progress.

This week is almost back to normal although I didn’t play tennis today. I am going to give it a try on Thursday to see if I am ready to get back playing. I miss it so much!  I have kettlebell tonight.  I’ll do some treadmill work tomorrow.  Wednesday will be treadmill work and weights….no kickboxing yet. :-(    I have to be patient.  If I try kickboxing, I’ll just take out the kicks from the workout. LOL   Thursday: tennis.  Friday:  kettlebell!

Woo!  Bring on March!  I am ready to keep going!  I can’t express how geared up I am now!   Spring is around the corner!  I feel great. I am eating great, and I am getting stronger!

What goals are you making for March?
