Weigh – In Week 11 of the 12 week Challenge

Wow! I can’t believe that I have been tracking on the PlusSizeBloggers Summer 15 Challenge for 11 weeks already!  Only one more week to go.  I know I won’t hit the 15lb loss mark, but I kept with it, and the last few weeks I have consistently moved in the right direction.  The last weigh in is scheduled for Tuesday, September 7….The day after my birthday!  The birthday that I wanted to be UNDER 200 pounds for.  I think I can safely say that I made that goal!!!

This weeks weigh in found me 2.2 pounds lighter!

8/31/2010 196.2lbs (-2.2lbs)

I am ecstatic over this for a couple of reasons.  Being nearly 4 pounds under 200 the week before my birthday means that I definitely beat my mini-goal!  There is no way, unless I totally over indulge, that I will ever be over 200 ever again!  I am watching closely what I eat. I have been logging  it over the last few weeks, and know what my body can handle.   I have the right mix of supplements and vitamins to work with MY metabolism.  I have never been in a better state of mind over my weight loss.
Now next week will be tough.  The gym is closed for the holiday, and I will be working with the kids to get them into their new routines with school.  My gym/tennis schedule will be changing dramatically.  I am still not sure what activities I will be able to do with my schedule.  I have to drop my Monday morning kickboxing class due to my tennis schedule.  I am hoping that I can fit the Wednesday evening kickboxing class to my routine.  It’s the same class and trainer. I may add a circuit class to my routine on Saturday mornings.  This class scares me, but my trainer says that I can handle it.  She teaches it most weeks and I totally trust her!
Speaking of my trainer….I <3 her!!  I have yet to be able to schedule one on one training with her besides my initial gym orientation, but she is so encouraging of my quest/journey.   When I first joined the health club, I got the free orientation session with her, and we talked about what I was doing at that point in time.  What my goals were. What I needed to change…(both nutrition and exercise). What I needed to do in my workouts to get a good start at kicking my weight loss in to gear.  Just the other day she commented to me on how proud she is of all the hard work and honest determination I have put into this.  She said that she has had hundreds of ladies come through in the same boat as me, but never followed through.  She said she sees me come in almost every day and give it my all, whether in a class or in the gym on my own.  I am the first person that she has seen in all her years there follow through with a plan.  That just made my day.  I was floating on air for the rest of the day!  If you are reading this and live in the Dearborn, MI area, you HAVE to join the Dearborn Racquet and Health Club, and you HAVE to request Linda for your orientation!!!  She totally rocks.  She pushes you to your limits.  She instills the confidence that you can really do it….She’s a lot like Jillian Michaels, but she’s not mean!  ;-)

Some of my other accomplishments for the past week were my food menus.  I made dinner most nights and was sure to include 2 veggies with a lean protein meat.  We were able to get out to the farm market one more time last week to stock up on fresh fruits and veggies!
I continued on with my 30 Day Shred Challenge. My twitter friend fell off the wagon with it, but my Facebook friend is still hanging in there with me.  I did skip Monday again since I had kickboxing.  Linda really works us with the extra cardio and ab work during that class.  We did 2 tough ab circuits using the weighted body bars, and we did an abundance of pushups. My abs and shoulders are still sore!!!  I am now on day 15 so I am half way through my 30 days and well on level 2 although I have to use the modified version of several of the moves.

This week my goals are…

-Continue on with 30 Day Shred
-Tennis twice this week at least
-Drink lots of water!!! I missed the mark some days on this last week.
-Hit up the Wednesday night kickboxing class since I won’t be able to get to the club Wednesday morning!
-Friday get into spin class.

I think that’s a pretty good set of goals, don’t you??

I will continue to work towards the Summer 15 Challenge. I don’t think I will lose 7 pounds in the next week though to hit 15. I don’t think it would be very healthy for me to.  I will continue to monitor my foods closely and try to get as close as I can though.  I’m not going down without a fight….If only I had just one more week of good loss in there.

See you for the final weigh in next week!
