Weekly Check In – Mamavation

Hey Hey Hey!  It’s been a couple weeks since I have gotten a chance to post.  It hasn’t been a horrible 2 weeks…I’ve continued to lose little by little.  It’s just that I have been in a funk.  When I get that way, I tend to shut down socially when I need to reach out.  I try not to, but it just happens.  I guess if you don’t hear from me on twitter for a couple days, it would help to hear a shout out form you to let me know you’re thinking of me.  I sometimes feel invisible and that if I just fade out, no one will notice.   It’s hard to keep up with all the power bloggers out there.
I’ll give this a go again though…..

Last week was pretty good.  I probably should have drank more water day to day.  That’s goal #1 for the week. This is getting more important as we move into the warmer weather.
I’ve cleaned out the fridge and we’ve removed everything that contains high fructose corn syrup.   We didn’t have much, but just the few we had were actually surprising….bbq sauce, salad dressing, hubby’s white bread (yay, finally convinced him to pitch it!).
After a 2wk break form tennis, I am back to twice a week.  I’m throwing in a kick boxing class on Mondays.   I’ve restarted the c25k program, and started reading the Ultimate You book that I won through Mamavation. I’m hoping that I will be able to keep up with this program somewhat. I’m still in the early reading phases.  It seems pretty strict, and that may work against me.  Only time will tell.

As for this week.  Here’s the plan….

#1 consume more water!
#2 Hit green on my Gruve 4 days! (My green goal is a whopping 937cals)

Daily workouts.  Here’s the very least that I have planned.
Monday – Kickboxing, walk the track
Tuesday – Tennis, walk the track
Wednesday – C25k W4D1, walk the track
Thursday – Tennis, walk the track
Friday – C25k W4D2, walk the track
Saturday – Active rest day (walk the track)
Sunday 0 C25k W4D3, walk the track

I’m also signed up for The PlusSizeBloggers Summer 15 Contest. I am going to try my darnedest to lose 15 pounds in 12 weeks over the summer with these ladies.   I think my energy and motivation that I have built over the last few months playing tennis, working out at the health club, and using me EA Sports Active... I’ve lost 45+ pounds will guide me though this challenge…one can only hope. hehehe

***Please check out yesterday’s post.  Contest ends tonight at Midnight, and I need all the help I can get!!  I’m in 2nd place….Second place doesn’t win. :-/

  1. I know what you mean by feeling like you get lost among the bigger bloggers. I feel that way too all the time. I guess it’s all a matter of perspective.

As for getting into a funk, yes you are right..you should be reaching out. I think there must be something in the water, cause the last 2 weeks there were a bunch of Sistas in a funk. You weren’t the only one.

I’ve totally noticed in the few mamavation posts that everyone has been in a funk. Must be the position of the moon or something. lol

I’m coming out of it. I appreciate your encouragement. I try to be positive and upbeat for my friends who look to me for encouragement so I think it beats down on me when I run into my own snag. I can only imagine that you have it 10xs more for you.

Thanks for always taking the time to post! it means so much! HUGS!

  2. CJ @CJinKY says:

The important thing to remember is that you’re getting out of your funk and back on track. We’ve all been there!

  3. Daenel says:

That stupid moon! It’s throwing us all off. We need to band together and put it back in it’s rightful place! :-) Hopefully, as the weather gets warmer and we’re able to spend more time outside things will get better. Good luck with getting back on track and refocus your energy on taking care of yourself.

We all get in our funk… but it is always great when we pull ourselves up and out! :) Focusing on the small positive successes helps me. :)

  5. Hey, did you win the Flatout Contest? I “liked” you!

Anyway — yes, it is VERY easy to feel lost in a stream of big fish. I wish it weren’t that way — but Blogging is such a personal venture, and when it feels as though your voice is ignored . . . yeah, not fun. (definitely can relate to this, unfortunately).

GOOD FOR YOU coming up with a plan for this next week — and seeking out support/motivation. I’m very impressed with your exercise plan. Makes me feel lazy!

    • Tracy says:

Yes! I did. It was a crazy fiasco…voting was out of control at the end, but the final call was that I won by won vote….after they announced the other entry had won. Flatout did the right thing and both top entries won Flatout for a year! They rock!

And yes, blogging really is just a way for me to get my thoughts out and to document my health journey for myself, but it’s nice to be recognized every now and then. ;-) I guess us small fish should really stick together!

  6. Shannon says:

I totally get what your saying as far as being invisible! Good luck with getting things back towhere they were. Seems like you have great goals! You can do this!! By the way im @trulove821 on twitter:)

    • Tracy says:

Thanks dear! It’s tough and we have to keep in mind that we’re doing this for no one other than ourselves. Sometimes we forget the little things like that. I think I’m following you on twitter now. Just holler if you ever need to chat or need encouragement. I try to be there for others since I know how good it feels when I have someone to lean on as well!.

  7. Leah is right..there is something in the water…a lot of us have been having bad weeks, myself included…but Ive told myself its time to move on and do what i need to do for me. F everyone else…lol

You can do it! keep your head up!

  8. Laura says:

Looks like you have a well laid out plan for the week. You are going to do great! Sending positive vibes your way. :)

  9. It’s really great that you have set a schedule and goals for yourself to keep you on track. I’m glad you posted the link to the Plus Size Blogger Summer 15 Program. I just went and signed up – thanks!

  10. kia says:

Congrats on winning the flat out bread competition. I am sorry you have been in a funk. I think that was pretty harsh for you considering you even gave up tennis for a couple of weeks. Wow. Welcome back and get out there, play, take care!

    • Tracy says:

Thanks, it was such a tight contest. It took all my energy. lol I think I am done with contests or a while. haha

I actually didn’t give up tennis for 2 weeks. the league was on hiatus for those two weeks between the spring and summer sessions. It feels good to be playing again!!
I just got home from playing actually and played the best I have ever.

  11. Way to keep going Tracy!! I’m so excited to see your progress and your goals! I also re-started the C25K program and am taking it a day at a time! Great plan moving ahead and I can’t wait to read along with you!! xo

  12. Mommy-Momo says:
