Tuesday Weigh In – Headed the Wrong Way

I’m headed in the wrong direction…..temporarily!  Well, I knew it would be a tough weigh in.  I knew it would be a gain. I know what I did right, what I had no control over, and what I did wrong.

Last week started out great…until Friday.  I woke up with a horrible sore throat. So there was no gym time, no running, no exercise. My throat hurt, I had no voice.  I felt horrible. I laid on the couch and slept the day away.  Saturday wasn’t much better.   I just needed rest.  I kept my water consumption up though.

Sunday the family headed to Cedar Point.   I knew it would be a tough day with food.  I did OK, but I could have done better.  I had a nice lunch at the restaurant in the hotel.  I had a salad and buffalo chicken wrap.  The chicken was breaded though.  I should have asked for grilled.   I drank tons of water!  I had to keep hydrated.  I broke down and had a soft pretzel.  That was really the worst of it, but it was a BIG pretzel. lol   We bought French waffles and took those home and I had 2 of them.  We did, however, walk 10 miles throughout the day.  I wore my Earth Footwear shoes so I gave my legs a little more of a workout than usual.  They were quite comfortable all day long.

So here we are in the present.  I know I am still retaining a lot of the junk I ate on Sunday and Monday.  I know that the weight will come down.  After all, Sunday night I was as high as 209.4 (yikes!), but knew it would come down a little by weigh in day (today).   Today’s official weigh in is a BIG WHOPPING 207.9! Ouch!

I think I have come to terms with it.  Not exercising Friday and Saturday didn’t help, but I couldn’t do anything about that.  I could have made better choices on Sunday and Monday, but I didn’t.  I was having fun with the family so that’s what counts.  I could have been more conscientious of my food choices.  I will in the future since I see what impact they really had in such a short time.  I can only learn from my mistakes now.

So here I am at the start of this week.  Here’s what I have done already and what I plan to do for the remainder of the week.

#1 keep up my water consumption.
#2 Keep my Gruve goal in the high end of blue to green on 4 days at the very least! (my green goal is 937 so I am shooting for 850+)
#3 make a nice big salad for my lunch and with my dinner + an additional veggie 4 times this week!

My exercise plan is as follows
Monday - kickboxing in am, cardio tennis in pm (did both)
Tuesday – 2hrs tennis in am, walk in pm (tennis is done!) I also have to clean up my photo studio so that will be a workout on it’s own!
Wednesday – w4d2 c25k run and upper body weights (I got off track with c25k from being sick),cardio tennis in the pm.
Thursday – 2hrs tennis am, walk in the pm.
Friday – w4d3 c25k and upper body workout.
Saturday – bike in am
Sunday – walk

Now let’s hope I don’t get sick again!   My exercise goals are pretty ambitious usually, but I know I can do it as long as a wrench isn’t thrown into the plans.  I just love that I can be more active this year over last!  Last year I couldn’t even do 1/3  of all this without needing a huge nap after ward.
