Today, I played tennis in the morning for 2 hours. It was probably my best day ever. Too bad the points didn’t count towards my league total. hehe That’s ok. It was great and the lessons I take every other Wednesday are paying off with my game. I’ll be playing 4 times a week in the summer so I will have more than my fair share of play time.
I had it in my mind to get an EASactive workout in today as well. Since the workout today focused on upper body with a bit of running, I decided to get it done after I got home from tennis….before I showered.
It was great. It started out with a walk then run warm up. It added on a new exercise, the torso twist. Then did a couple sets of the following….alternating bicep curls, tricep kick backs, upright rows, bent over rows. SO the arms got a great workout. I also had to do more running, high knees, and kick backs. In the middle of the workout, I got nailed with an extra long run. I ran all 6 laps at the same pace. It was tough, and my legs are feeling it now, but it’s done. They threw in some batting and catching/throwing and some tennis.
The cool down was 2 laps then ended with a walk.
It was a great workout. I burned 211 calories. I was disappointed a bit since it was only a couple calories over the projected calorie burn and I usually blow that away, but the upper body always seems track less burn on the program.
So since it was just 211, knew I was close to winning another trophy and wanted to push to get that. I loaded up the batting and did 2 rounds of that to finish off my 200 at-bats trophy.
Just one more workout to finish off my 30 day challenge. I’ll get that completed tomorrow!!!!! Then it’s celebration time!!!!!
