Mamavation Monday – Huge Loss! LOL

It’s been a whirl wind kind of week.  I am in a better mindset.  I’ve been more active.  I’ve been eating better.  I’ve been feeling better.

This whole weight loss thing has been so full of ups and downs….emotions AND weight!  lol
This week I really did try to stay away from junk food. I accomplished it about 80% of the time. I did slip and chow down a giant yummy chocolate chip cookie that hubby brought home from the deli.  It was delish.  I tried not to beat myself up over it.  Everything in moderation right?  The cookie may have been large, but I haven’t had one in a couple weeks, and I don’t eat that stuff every day.
I continued with my fruit smoothies for breakfast, and started using almond milk instead of skim milk.  This saves some calories!
Lunch is usually time for a protein smoothie after my morning workout.

My Gruve has been a great motivational tool.  Although, I have mixed feelings about it moving my green goal up.  :-)   I am now sitting at an 813 calorie goal! That’s a lot of work.  It’s now after 10pm on Sunday and I just hit it while throwing in an extra little mini workout.  Saturday and Sundays are a bit lazy anyway, but I’ve been pulling double workouts.

Morning is my normal Health Club workout or Tennis, and then in the afternoons, I have been back to the EASactive workouts. I started a 30 day challenge.  I needed an extra way to get more calories burned, and this was just the ticket.  I have been doing this virtually alongside @CreateaBalance on Twitter. It helps when you have a buddy to go through it with you.

I have been on top of my water intake.  I have been drinking it like crazy with all this sweating I am doing with my workouts!  No probs there at all!

I bought a new pair of jeans and a couple pairs of casual shorts this week.,…2 sizes smaller!!  Yay me!  I needed them.  The belt just wasn’t cutting it anymore.

Now here’s the biggest item of the week.  I found my old weight chart.  My starting weight was NOT 240 pounds.  It was 250!  Now typically this isn’t such a proud moment, but since I was 10 pounds more when I started this journey almost a year ago, that means that I have lost 10 more pounds than I was accounting for.  I am better in math than that normally and don’t know how I screwed that up!  But that means that I am only about a pound and change away from my 1/2 way point!  This has been a great confidence booster! I adjusted all my online charts to reflect the proper amount of progress.

So how’s that a note to end on this week!  We’ll see what my weigh in this week says, and if I hit my 50% mark by Wednesday.  I’ll be very close if I don’t make it.  Either way, I am ecstatic!

    You can do it….get to the 50% and keep on moving! although we like smaller goals, sometimes it is really good to look at the big picture and see exactly how far we have come…I think it definitely helps keep you motivated…I know for me its like…”hey I dont want to go back to where I was….lets keep moving”!
