last week the kids were on vacation, and we took several day trips. We did a lot of walking, but not as much actually fitness that I would have liked to have done. I played tennis only once. I had an off day on Thursday since most of the league were on vacation, and didn’t have enough players to fill my court. I played for fun Friday evening with a friend to make up for it. I had to stop taking the cardio tennis class. I have mixed feelings about this since it is an excellent cardio workout, but the way it’s run doesn’t encourage good stroke habits, and my play during my league days was starting to get sloppy. Since I am taking lessons every other week now and refining my play, I thought it best to stop cardio tennis for a bit. I will probably start up again for the summer outdoors when it’s a different instructor who helps you with the game as well as get the cardio workout in.
I am making a goal for this week to eat no junk food. I am going to eat as clean as possible. I am making this goal for only a week to see how I do. I have a hard time when it gets into the evening….this is when I start craving the crap and tend to grab a cookie, or something else. If I could, I would go to bed earlier, but I just can’t do that. The evening is the time that I have to myself to do my business work…after the kids go to bed.
So here we go starting a new Mamavation Campaign this week. Tonight we will find out who the chosen Mamavation Moms are. It will be an exciting time. I look forward to following their journey, and making progress on my own journey.

Sorry the tennis cardio was so bunk. Are you going to squeeze in the cardio another way like interval training or boot camp? Good luck saying bye-bye to the junk food.

I have been filling in cardio with the exercise bike, treadmill, and elliptical. The bike is my preference right now.
I think I may try out a kick boxing class. They offer several at my club. I just have to find one that fits my schedule.
Been doing good this week with the junk food. We had pizza for dinner today, but I didn’t stuff myself, and I opted for a big bowl of fruit as a side (main)….strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, and blueberries. Delish!
Good luck with your goal on no junk food! You can do it. My best advice is to chew gun (another mamavation mom told me that) keep fruit and veggies handy and just get moving if you feel the junk food crave come on!

Oh, i am always chewing gum! I love the fresh minty feeling. lol I started chewing gum about 6 1/2 years ago when I quit smoking. But it’s a great tip for those that don’t know about it. My favorite is Eclipse Peppermint.
Girl I love what you did to your blog. It got a makeover, right? Love the new color. XXOO
