I hate lunges. I really do! All kinds of lunges….they are just evil. lol
Today’s workout included, side lunges with toe touches, reverse high kick lunges, and regular lunges…None of which were fun.
I have such a hard time with them. I used to have a hard time with squats. i hated them just as much as I currently hate lunges. I don’t care for them so much, but I don’t hate them anymore. I figure by the end of the challenge, they will be just a little easier for me. That’s what happens when you continue on a program and improve your health, fitness, and flexibilty.
I played tennis with my league today. I was on top on all 3 sets with all 3 partners. I played sloppy at times, but turned on my 1st serve finally and my percentage of 1st serves have dramatically increased since I started my lessons a month and a half ago. So one would think the same will happen with these damned lunges that are currently kicking my ass. We’ll see!
Today’s challenge also included tennis drills (how appropriate) that included a small lunge in the footwork, shoulder presses, bicep curls, and some running. It felt great once I got done. I burned 220 calories. Yay!
Tomorrow is a rest day. I will get some sort of fitness worked into the day though. If the weather holds up, I’ll get plenty of walking in at the zoo when I take the boy!
